In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the London Nationals escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Sarnia Legionnaires. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Austin Kemp at 9:13 of the third period. Sarnia's power play was ineffective against London's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Nationals were led by Kemp, who racked up one goal. London's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Sarnia power plays. The Nationals' offense rang up 34 shots on the Legionnaires' net. London additionally got points from Matt Wildman, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan Tuffin also scored for London. In addition, London received assists from Ryan Wells, Matt Fuller, Ryan Shipley, Jonathan Sims, and Jeff Bauer, who contributed one a piece. Sarnia also got points from Trowell, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Sarnia came via Ryan Vendramin, who had two. Liam Herbst made 30 saves for the Nationals on 32 shots. London incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Nationals ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle L Robinson was ejected from the game. The Legionnaires' Jake Danson stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Sarnia incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Legionnaires, Brad Campbell was ejected from the game.
