The St. Catharines Falcons opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 9-2 over the Fort Erie Meteors. Mark Rodgers had one goal and three assists to lead St. Catharines. Rodgers scored 1:53 into the second period to make the score 5-0 St. Catharines. Dilan Walker provided the assist. Fort Erie was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as the Falcons were able to score five times while on the power play. St. Catharines forced Meteors' goalies to work between the pipes, firing 48 shots and forcing 39 saves. Brett Gilmour made 25 stops and Matt Baker made 14. The Falcons put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Meteors to score on any of their three power plays. St. Catharines surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Falcons average 4.9 goals per contest. St. Catharines additionally got points from Kyle Woodhouse, who also registered one goal and two assists, Aaron Taylor, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Ryan Doucette, who also had one goal and one assist, Nigel Slade, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Sam Berg, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Mitch Bursey, who had one and Greg Jambrosich, who had two. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Yanni Rallis, who had two and Broderick Kelly, Ryan Stayner, Brandon Cercone, Brett Brooker, and Brennan Feasey, who contributed one a piece. Fort Erie could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. St. Catharines' Knick Dawe stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Falcons incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For St. Catharines, Stayner was ejected from the game. For the Meteors, Josh Micallef and Richard DeMarco were ejected from the contest.
