Huge game by Maione boosts Brampton over Stratford, 6-3Victoria Park Arena Sun, Nov 10, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Chris Maione was all over the ice for the Brampton Bombers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Brampton's 6-3 win over the Stratford Cullitons. Maione found the back of the net 11:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brampton and again while on the power play 13:35 into the first to make the score 2-0 Brampton.The Bombers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes. Brampton bested its season scoring average. The Bombers have scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Brampton cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. Brampton also got points from Reid Jackman, who also had one goal and one assist and Francois Cote, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brampton also got a goal from Jason Smith as well. Other players who recorded assists for Brampton were Brandon Clelland, who had two, Brad Sheppard, who had three, and Josh Villaflor and Brandon Stapley, who each chipped in one. Stratford's offense rang up 33 shots on the Bombers' net. The Cullitons were helped by Dylan Wettlaufer, who had one goal and one assist. Wettlaufer scored on the power play 50 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-3 Brampton. Trevor Sauder picked up the assist. Stratford additionally got points from Jordan Currie, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brett Heaman also scored for Stratford. More assists for Stratford came via Ryker Killins, who had one and Nathan Templeman, who had two. Brampton's Scott Patton stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Michael Pesendorfer made 16 saves for Stratford on 21 shots. The Cullitons incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
