St. Marys holds on for 4-3 win against Chatham

The Chatham Maroons tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the St. Marys Lincolns would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

St. Marys made the score 4-2 on a goal by Mike Siddall at 3:31 in the third period, and Chatham got as close as 4-3 when Adam Arseneault scored 13:00 into the third period.

St. Marys additionally got points from Nico Giannantonio, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for St. Marys came via Mitch Read, who had two and Cody Filson and Braydon Blight, who each chipped in one.

The Maroons kept the Lincolns' goalie busy throughout the game, and Connor Hughes made 41 saves on 44 shots.

Chatham also got points from Brayden Hopkins, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Chatham also got a goal from Trevor Richardson as well. In addition, Chatham received assists from Steven Szekesy, James McEwen (APM), and Tanner Ferguson, who contributed one a piece.

St. Marys incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brendan Johnston made nine saves before being replaced by Darien Ekblad, who took the loss and made five saves. Chatham incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
