A hat trick by Kyle Brothers was the highlight in Maroons' 5-4 win against the Sarnia Legionnaires. Brothers' first goal came 7:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:37 into the first and at 13:08 into the third.The Chatham Maroons forced Sarnia goalie Braden Palocz to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Chatham also had goals scored by Mark Fratarcangelli and James McEwen (APM), who scored one goal each. In addition, Chatham received assists from Ian Faubert, who had two, Michael Verboom, who had three, and Oliver Blayne, Tanner Ferguson, and Adam Arseneault, who contributed one a piece. The Legionnaires put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Chatham to score on any of its three power plays. Sarnia got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. The Legionnaires were helped by Thomas Moxley, who grabbed one goal. Moxley scored on the power play 3:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Chatham. Sarnia had gotten the advantage when the Maroons' Blayne was sent off for interference. Jordan Fogarty assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Sarnia included Curtis Crombeen, Josh Kestner, and Ryan Vendramin, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Sarnia were Ryan Lyle(apj), Brett Corrigan, Hunter Tyczynski, and Bradon Layman(apj), who each chipped in one. Brendan Johnston made 18 saves for Chatham on 22 shots. The Maroons incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Palocz recorded 33 saves for the Legionnaires. Sarnia incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
