LaSalle outlasts Chatham, 4-2Chatham Memorial Arena Sun, Oct 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between the LaSalle Vipers and the Chatham Maroons was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end LaSalle emerged with a 4-2 win. The Vipers gained the winning advantage on a goal by Rio Anzolin 7:46 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Dylan Denomme was all over the ice for LaSalle, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Denomme scored the first of his two goals at 15:38 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Zack Percy picked up the assist. Denomme's next tally made the score 4-2 LaSalle with 4:58 left in the third period. Brett Langlois assisted on the tally. LaSalle also got points from Anzolin, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Brendan McCann, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for LaSalle came via Bryce Mayea, who had one. Chatham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Vipers to score on any of their four power plays. The Maroons did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Chatham averages 4.4 goals per game. The Maroons were helped by Trevor Richardson, who registered one goal. Richardson scored 14:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham. Eric Palazzolo provided the assist. Chatham also got a goal from Connor McKinnon as well. In addition, Chatham received assists from Brayden Hopkins, who had one and Connor Annett, who had two. Cameron Zanussi rejected 27 shots on goal for LaSalle. The Vipers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Darien Ekblad recorded 19 saves for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
