Behind a great game by Keli Grant, who had two goals and one assist, the Kitchener Dutchmen defeated the Brantford 99ers, 4-1. Grant found the back of the net 19:56 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kitchener and again while on the power play 16:56 into the second to make the score 3-0 Kitchener.Kitchener's Matt Greenfield was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 31 saves and let only one puck past him. The Dutchmen excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Kitchener kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andre Keire made 32 saves on 36 shots. Kitchener additionally got points from New Player, who also had one goal and one assist. Kyle Ellis also scored for Kitchener. Other players who recorded assists for Kitchener were Clayton Greer, who had two and Logan Schmidt, Mitchell Smith, Kegan Blasby, Keegan Calder, and John Divo, who contributed one a piece.
