Connor Patton gave the Caledonia Corvairs the lead in the first period, and the Buffalo Regals was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-1. A goal 8:03 into the the first period by Patton proved to be the game winner, and powered Caledonia to the victory The Corvairs had taken the advantage when Buffalo's Tyler Casillo got sent off for hooking. Connor Murphy provided the assist.Cody Brown was all over the ice for Caledonia, as he racked up two goals in the win. Brown scored short handed at 16 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Caledonia and again while 16:04 into the second to make the score 3-1 Caledonia. The Corvairs stifled the Regals' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Caledonia was held below its usual level of production. The Corvairs put an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. Caledonia forced Buffalo goalie Adam Dentico to work between the pipes, taking 61 shots. Caledonia also got points from Patton, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were JC Thivienge and Kyler Nixon, who each chipped in one. The Regals were led by Christian Nati, who scored the team's only goal. Nati scored 2:09 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia. Colin Furlong recorded 14 saves for the Corvairs. Caledonia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Buffalo's Dentico stopped 58 shots out of the 61 that he faced. The Regals incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
