Huge game by Brown boosts Caledonia over Niagara Falls, 4-1

Behind a great game by Cody Brown, who had two goals and one assist, the Caledonia Corvairs defeated the Niagara Falls Canucks, 4-1.

Brown scored on the power play at 13:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Caledonia and again while 12:32 into the third to make the score 3-1 Caledonia.

Caledonia stifled Niagara Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Spencer Gourlay also scored for Caledonia. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Matt Quilty, who had one, Connor Murphy, who had two, and Kyler Nixon, who had three.

The Canucks could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Niagara Falls averages 3.7 goals per game.

The Canucks were led by Johnny Curran, who scored the team's only goal. Curran scored 11:23 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia.

Colin Furlong recorded 22 saves for the Corvairs. Caledonia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Corvairs ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Moran was ejected from the game. Hunter Johnson made 25 saves for Niagara Falls on 29 shots. The Canucks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For Niagara Falls, Sean Farquharson was ejected from the game.
