The London Nationals tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Sarnia Legionnaires held on for a 6-5 victory. A goal by Jordan Fogarty put Sarnia up 6-4 in the third period, but London pulled to within one on Matt Fuller's tally 12:31 into the third period. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:01 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Legionnaires forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and three majors for 47 minutes in penalty time. London had taken the advantage when the Legionnaires' Kestner got sent off for high sticking. Paul Hopkins assisted on the tally. Sims' next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Sarnia with 14:04 left in the second period. The Nationals earned a power play opportunity when Hunter Tyczynski was put in the box for cross checking. Fuller picked up the assist. London additionally got points from Fuller, who also registered one goal and one assist. Keaton Ratcliffe also scored for London. In addition, London received assists from Ryan Tuffin, who had two and Ryan Shipley, Austin Kemp, and Drew Worrad, who contributed one a piece.
