The Leamington Flyers came close to giving away a four-goal lead to the Lambton Shores Predators, but did just enough to escape with a 3-2 victory.

Leamington led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Flyers' Kyle Quick's scored at 10:15 in the second period to put Leamington up 4-0.

The Flyers got the win behind a great game by Nathan Opblinger, who had one goal and two assists. Opblinger scored 16:22 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Leamington. Alex Seguin assisted on the tally.

Leamington managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Flyers wound up below its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Leamington kept Lambton Shores' goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Tugwell made 59 saves on 62 shots.

Leamington also got points from Seguin, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Quick, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Mitchell Amante also scored for Leamington. Other players who recorded assists for Leamington were Blaine Bechard, who had one.

The Predators managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Lambton Shores finished below its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Predators were helped by Jay Ritchie, who racked up one goal. Ritchie scored 19:39 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Leamington. Cleo Gubbles picked up the assist. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Nick Sproveiro as well. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Ty Jackson and Steven Beenackers, who each chipped in one.

Austyn Roudebush made 17 saves for the Flyers on 19 shots. Leamington registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Lambton Shores registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
