Welland outlasts Niagara Falls, 4-3Gale Centre Fri, Oct 11, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Welland Jr. Canadians escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Niagara Falls Canucks. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Connor Walters at 13:29 of the third period. Welland was led by Walters, who finished with one goal. The Jr. Canadians forced Niagara Falls goalie Hunter Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Welland also got a goal from Matt Cuglietta as well. Other players who recorded assists for Welland were Jack Fitzgerald, Max Cipriano, Gabe Ruggi, Brayden Stortz, and Miller Hatten, who contributed one a piece. The Canucks were helped by Dylan Savory, who tallied one goal. Savory scored 10:37 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Niagara Falls. Cole Vinnai assisted on the tally.
