Adam Dauda netted a hat trick to lead the Cambridge Winter Hawks over the Listowel Cyclones, 5-3. Dauda got on the scoresheet 1:11 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:42 into the second and at 5:32 into the third.Cambridge kept Listowel's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Dekoning made 42 saves on 47 shots. The Winter Hawks were held back by their power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances. Cambridge also got a goal from Cameron Pentsa as well. Other players who recorded assists for Cambridge were Matt Pinder, who had three and Jacob Keogh, Jordan Chard, Malcolm Bilton, Matt Sutherland, Alex Bottigoni, Devin Shell, and Tyler Peters, who contributed one a piece. Cambridge was unable to stop the Cyclones from sending pucks towards the net, and Listowel eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. The Cyclones' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Listowel finished with 36 penalty minutes. The Cyclones were helped by Derek Elliot, who racked up one goal. Elliot scored 7:31 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Cambridge. Mac Nichol assisted on the tally. Jonathan Langford also scored for Listowel. In addition, Listowel received assists from Scott Pawson, who had two and Ted Nichol and Ben Shelley, who each chipped in one. The Winter Hawks' Keogh stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Cambridge incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Listowel registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
