Brampton completes comeback, beats Brantford, 3-2Victoria Park Arena Fri, Oct 11, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Brampton Bombers rallied from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over the Brantford 99ers. Brampton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Bombers trailed 2-0 after a goal by Brantford's Nathan Bastian at 15:53 in the first period. Brampton knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Francois Cote at 19:43 in the second period. The Bombers got the game winner at 9:51 in the third period on a goal by Cote. Brampton was led by Chris Maione, who tallied one goal and one assist. The Bombers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Brampton kept the 99ers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Andre Keire made 38 saves on 41 shots. Brampton additionally got points from Phil Caputo, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Brampton came via Mark Shoemaker, Connor Andersen, Brad Sheppard, and Owen Burry, who contributed one a piece. Brantford also got a goal from Cole Cummings as well. In addition, Brantford received assists from David Storey, John Nay, Ryon Pereira, and Mitch Atkins, who each chipped in one. Bryan Raymond recorded 23 saves for the Bombers.
