The Thorold Blackhawks survived a determined comeback attempt by the Buffalo Regals on the way to a 4-2 win.

Thorold made the score 4-0 on a goal by Joe Mitchell at 2:27 in the third period, and Buffalo got as close as 4-2 when Jordan Matos scored 19:07 into the third period.

The Blackhawks' offense rang up 44 shots on the Regals' net.
