Kyle Shaw lifted the Leamington Flyers to a 4-1 victory with a hat trick against the Sarnia Legionnaires. Shaw's first goal came 52 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 17:40 into the first and at 5:55 into the third.Leamington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Sarnia power plays. The Flyers kept Sarnia's goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Parker made 33 saves on 37 shots. Jared Dennis also scored for Leamington. More assists for Leamington came via Daniel Robertson, who had one and Mitchell Amante and Chris Scott, who each chipped in three. The Legionnaires were held below their usual level of production. Sarnia averages 3.7 goals per game. The Legionnaires were led by Riley Roberts, who scored the team's only goal. Roberts scored 1:05 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Riley Babkirk picked up the assist. Austyn Roudebush made 19 saves for Leamington on 20 shots. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
