A hat trick by Adam Dauda was the highlight in Winter Hawks' 6-3 win against the Brantford 99ers. Dauda got on the scoresheet 40 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 10:44 into the second and at 17:36 into the third.The Cambridge Winter Hawks pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 26 penalty minutes. Cambridge kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Marcus Del Conte made 27 saves on 33 shots. The Winter Hawks outdid their season average for goals scored. Cambridge has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign. The Winter Hawks was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Cambridge also got a goal from Brandon Verasamy as well. More assists for Cambridge came via Matt Pinder, who had three and Lucas Zitmanis, Cameron Pentsa, Maxime Lamontagne, Matt Sutherland, and Alex Black, who contributed one a piece. The 99ers were helped by Nathan Bastian, who had one goal. Bastian scored 1:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cambridge. Mitch Atkins assisted on the tally. Brantford also got points from Guy Polillo, who also had one goal and one assist. Nathan Ferris also scored for Brantford. In addition, Brantford received assists from Joel Pottruff, who had one and Patrice Fozo, who had two. Darren Huck made 21 saves for Cambridge on 24 shots. Brantford incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the 99ers, Ian Bartlett was ejected from the game.
