Niagara Falls rolls over Fort Erie, 6-3

The Niagara Falls Canucks were firing on all cylinders against the Fort Erie Meteors, and when the final buzzer sounded Canucks emerged with a 6-3 win.

Marcus Michalski was all over the ice for Niagara Falls, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Michalski scored the first of his two goals at 5:58 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Austin Wright picked up the assist. Michalski's next tally made the score 3-1 Niagara Falls with 17:37 left in the second period. The Canucks earned a power play opportunity when Kyle Marino was put in the box for cross checking. Mitch McIntosh assisted on the tally.

Niagara Falls pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Canucks got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Niagara Falls additionally got points from Wright, who also registered one goal and one assist. Niagara Falls also got a goal from Johnny Curran as well. More assists for Niagara Falls came via Chris Harpur, Matthew Thorpe, Cole Langan, Vito Scaringi, and Billy Saxton, who each chipped in one.

Fort Erie was led by Nik Passero, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Passero scored 16 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fort Erie. Jesse Pereira picked up the assist. Nigel Slade also scored for Fort Erie. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Josh Rosettani, Mike Boles, and Richard DeMarco, who contributed one a piece.

Niagara Falls' Hunter Johnson stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Canucks registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Josh Rosettani took the loss and made eight saves before being replaced by Connor Visca who made seven saves. The Meteors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
