Cody Trowell gave the Sarnia Legionnaires a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Strathroy Rockets when he scored 2:00 into the extra period.

Sarnia's Sean Parker was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 38 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Parker will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 4.07.

The Legionnaires were sparked by Trowell, who racked up one goal and one assist.

Sarnia was held below its usual level of production. The Legionnaires average 4.1 goals per game. Sarnia kept Strathroy's goalie busy throughout the game, and PJ Bridges made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Jay Clarke also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Mitchell Minder and Thomas Moxley, who contributed one a piece.

The Rockets managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Strathroy finished below its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rockets did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Strathroy puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. The Rockets' offense rang up 39 shots on the Legionnaires' net.

Strathroy was led by Nick Boyer, who scored the team's only goal. Boyer scored 12:01 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Duarte assisted on the tally.

Sarnia incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Rockets registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
