Cody Trowell gave the Sarnia Legionnaires a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Strathroy Rockets when he scored 2:00 into the extra period. Sarnia's Sean Parker was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 38 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Parker will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 4.07. The Legionnaires were sparked by Trowell, who racked up one goal and one assist. Sarnia was held below its usual level of production. The Legionnaires average 4.1 goals per game. Sarnia kept Strathroy's goalie busy throughout the game, and PJ Bridges made 31 saves on 33 shots. Jay Clarke also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Mitchell Minder and Thomas Moxley, who contributed one a piece. The Rockets managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Strathroy finished below its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game.
