St. Catharines rolls over Buffalo, 5-2

The St. Catharines Falcons were firing on all cylinders against the Buffalo Regals, and when the final buzzer sounded Falcons emerged with a 5-2 win.

Brennan Feasey was all over the ice for St. Catharines, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Feasey scored 5:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Catharines. Ryan Doucette assisted on the tally.

In a losing effort, Buffalo was led by Michael Faliero, who had two goals. Faliero scored the first of his two goals at 7:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Faliero's next tally made the score 4-2 St. Catharines with six seconds left in the second period. Jake Battistoni picked up the assist.

The Falcons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Regals were unable to stop St. Catharines from sending pucks towards the net, and the Falcons eventually piled up 55 shots on goal.

St. Catharines additionally got points from Yanni Rallis, who also registered one goal and one assist, Brandon Cercone, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Mark Rodgers, who also finished with one goal and two assists. St. Catharines also got a goal from Kyle Woodhouse as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Brett Brooker and Mitch Bursey, who each chipped in one.

Buffalo put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Catharines to score on any of its three power plays.

More assists for Buffalo came via Ryan Cox, who had one.

Knick Dawe recorded 19 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Regals' Ian Sylves *AP stopped 50 shots out of the 55 that he faced. Buffalo incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
