Mark Rodgers had one point to lead the St. Catharines Falcons to a 4-1 victory over the Ancaster Avalanche. St. Catharines forced Ancaster's goaltenders to work in net, racking up 34 shots and forcing 30 saves. Stevenson Staious made 14 stops and Jeremy Currie made 16. The Falcons put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Avalanche to score on any of their four power plays. St. Catharines additionally got points from Brennan Feasey, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan Doucette also scored for St. Catharines. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Kyle Woodhouse, who had two and Jacob Parisotto, Greg Jambrosich, Aaron Taylor, Mitch Bursey, and Dilan Walker, who contributed one a piece. Ancaster stifled St. Catharines' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Avalanche were held below their usual level of production. Ancaster puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game. Knick Dawe recorded 18 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Avalanche incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
