LaSalle rides Zanussi to victory over Leamington, 2-1Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Thu, Sep 26, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The LaSalle Vipers relied on the sparkling performance of Cameron Zanussi in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Leamington Flyers. LaSalle was led by Ben Hanus, who finished with one goal. Hanus scored 55 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-1 LaSalle. Daniel Beaudoin picked up the assist. The Vipers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Leamington power plays. LaSalle could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Vipers put an average of 5.0 pucks into the net per game. LaSalle also got a goal from Aaron Luchuk as well. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Austin Hall, Nathan Savage, and Connor Rosaasen, who contributed one a piece. Leamington excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Flyers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Leamington averages 5.0 goals per game. The Flyers were led by Tony Spidalieri, who scored the team's only goal. Spidalieri scored 13:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Leamington. Dylan Seguin provided the assist. LaSalle's Zanussi stopped 28 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Vipers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Austyn Roudebush rejected 27 shots on goal for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
