Lambton Shores falters on penalty kill, loses to London 5-2Western Fair CC Wed, Sep 25, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambton Shores Predators lost to the London Nationals, as their penalty kill allowed London to score four goals with a man advantage. The Nationals were led by Austin Kemp, who registered one goal and one assist. Kemp scored 7:31 into the third period to make the score 3-2 London. Chris Carreiro assisted on the tally. London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Nationals kept Lambton Shores' goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Tugwell made 53 saves on 58 shots. London also got points from Ryan Shipley, who also had one goal and one assist, Carreiro, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Ryan Tuffin, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kyle L Robinson also scored for London. More assists for London came via Wade Russell, Matt Fuller, Keaton Ratcliffe, and Derek Todosichuk, who contributed one a piece. The Predators were led by Nick Sproveiro, who registered one goal and one assist. Sproveiro scored 18:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1. John Warren picked up the assist. Lambton Shores also got a goal from Jay Ritchie as well. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Adam Wammes and Brendan Trottier, who each chipped in one. Liam Herbst made 19 saves for London on 21 shots. The Nationals incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lambton Shores incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. The Predators ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Fraser was ejected from the game.
