Huge game by Campagnolo boosts Elmira over Brampton, 5-2

Adam Campagnolo was all over the ice for the Elmira Sugar Kings, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Elmira's 5-2 win over the Brampton Bombers.

Campagnolo beat Bryan Raymond with a shot 19:21 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Elmira. Mitch Wright picked up the assist. Campagnolo dished an assist on Brennon Pearce's goal that made the score 2-0 Elmira at 13:32 into the first period. He added another helper on Wright's goal that made the score 4-2 Elmira at 12:30 into the third period.

The Sugar Kings made Bombers' goalies to work between the pipes, launching 42 shots and forcing 37 saves. Raymond made 32 stops and Scott Patton made five. Elmira could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Elmira additionally got points from Wright, who also registered one goal and one assist and Pearce, who also had one goal and one assist. Rob Kohli also scored for Elmira. In addition, Elmira received assists from Brodie Whitehead, who had two and David Savery, Cass Frey, and Jaden Goetz(APJ), who contributed one a piece.

Brampton was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on 12 chances. The Bombers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Brampton was helped by Owen Burry, who finished with one goal. Burry scored on the power play 19 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Elmira. Chris Maione provided the assist. Brampton also got points from Maione, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Brampton came via Phil Caputo, who had one and Josh Villaflor, who had two.

The Sugar Kings' Hayden Neuman stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Elmira registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
