Leamington's Seguin deadly on offense in 6-2 win against Chatham

The Leamington Flyers relied on the scoring touch of Dylan Seguin, who netted two goals, to beat the Chatham Maroons, 6-2.

Seguin found the back of the net 11:46 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Leamington and again while 12:14 into the second to make the score 3-0 Leamington.

Chatham's power play was ineffective against Leamington's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Flyers forced the Maroons goalie Darien Ekblad to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Leamington also got a goal from Ryan Muzzin as well. Other players who recorded assists for Leamington were Tony Spidalieri, who had two and Blaine Bechard, Kyle Shaw, Alex Seguin, Mitchell Amante, Cale Allen, and Chris Scott, who each chipped in one.

Chatham was held below its usual level of production. The Maroons average 5.8 goals per game.

Trevor Wheaton rejected 25 shots on goal for Leamington. The Flyers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Ekblad recorded 30 saves for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
