London downs Sarnia, 3-1

Anthony Kotsvos had one point to lead the London Nationals to a 3-1 victory over the Sarnia Legionnaires.

London excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Sarnia was unable to stop the Nationals from sending pucks towards the net, and London eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. The defensemen of the Nationals were also effective in the Legionnaires' zone, and came away with two goals.

London also got a goal from Matt Fuller as well. In addition, London received assists from Paul Hopkins, who had one and Jonathan Sims and Matt Wildman, who each chipped in two.

Sarnia's offense operated below it season average. The Legionnaires average 4.5 goals per game.

Sarnia was led by Ryan Vendramin, who scored the team's only goal. Vendramin scored 5:46 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Josh Kestner provided the assist.

London's Nick Dampier stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Nationals incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sean Parker made 33 saves for the Legionnaires on 36 shots. Sarnia incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
