The St. Catharines Falcons jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Fort Erie Meteors, 5-1. St. Catharines pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 25 penalty minutes. The Falcons were paced by Greg Jambrosich, who finished with one goal and one assist. Jambrosich scored 4:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Catharines. Kyle Woodhouse assisted on the tally. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 13:28 into the second period. Three fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. St. Catharines forced Fort Erie goalie Connor Visca to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. St. Catharines also got points from Tyler Jackson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. St. Catharines also got a goal from Dilan Walker as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Yanni Rallis, who had two and Jacob Parisotto and Aaron Taylor, who contributed one a piece. The Meteors' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Fort Erie finished with 31 penalty minutes. Stormer Santana recorded 23 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For the Falcons, Rallis was ejected from the game. Connor Visca made 26 saves for the Meteors on 31 shots. Fort Erie registered one goal on six power play opportunities. The Meteors ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle Marino was ejected from the game.
