The Niagara Falls Canucks relied on the sparkling performance of Dylan Pietrangelo in net to grab a 6-1 win against the Buffalo Regals.

Niagara Falls got the win thanks to a great game by Cole Vinnai, who had one goal and two assists. Vinnai scored 14:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Niagara Falls. MacKenzie Wood picked up the assist.

Buffalo fell victim to a deadly the Canucks power play, which ripped the Regals for four goals.

Niagara Falls forced Buffalo goalie Justin Dichristopher to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Niagara Falls also got points from Wood, who also finished with three goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Tory McLean also scored for Niagara Falls. Other players who recorded assists for Niagara Falls were Marcus Michalski, who had three and Johnny Curran, Mitch McIntosh, Cole Langan, and Dylan Savory, who contributed one a piece.

The Regals could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Pietrangelo rejected 26 shots on goal for the Canucks. Niagara Falls incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Buffalo's Dichristopher stopped 45 shots out of the 51 that he faced. The Regals registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
