Seguin leads Leamington over St. Marys, 7-2

The Leamington Flyers' Alex Seguin had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 7-2 win over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Seguin got on the board by slotting home a goal 18 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-2 Leamington. J.P. Grineau provided the assist. Seguin dished an assist on Nicklas Pleshakov's goal that made the score 5-2 Leamington at 4:43 into the third period. He added another helper on Chris Scott's goal that made the score 6-2 Leamington at 11:10 into the third period.

Leamington pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes.

St. Marys was unable to stop the Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Leamington eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. The Flyers got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Leamington also got points from Jared Dennis, who also registered one goal and one assist and James Brooks, who also had one goal and one assist. Leamington also got a goal from Nathan Opblinger as well. More assists for Leamington came via Colin Moore, who had two and Ryan Muzzin, Kyle Shaw, David Dalby, Kyle Quick, and Graham Kelsey, who contributed one a piece.

The Lincolns could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Marys was helped by Nathan Smith APM, who grabbed one goal. Smith APM scored on the power play 16:47 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Leamington. The Lincolns had gotten the advantage when Leamington's Opblinger was sent off for interference. Carson Brookshaw picked up the assist. Garret James (APM) also scored for St. Marys. Other players who recorded assists for St. Marys were Chandler Allen and Nico Giannantonio, who each chipped in one.

Austyn Roudebush took the win and made 27 saves before being replaced by Trevor Wheaton who made zero saves. The Flyers registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Dylan Hoover made 39 saves for St. Marys on 46 shots. The Lincolns registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
