Gloucester blows out Nepean, 7-2Orleans Recreation Complex Sat, Aug 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Gloucester Rangers were firing on all cylinders against the Nepean Raiders, and when the final buzzer sounded Rangers emerged with a 7-2 win. Gloucester made Nepean's netminders to work in net, taking 41 shots and forcing 34 saves. John Gilmer made 23 stops and Anthony Salahor made 11. The Rangers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Nepean power plays. Gloucester was helped by Dean Derouchie, who had one goal. Derouchie scored 11:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Gloucester. Nicholas Brazeau provided the assist. Gloucester additionally got points from Maximian Veronneau, who also registered one goal and one assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Sam Dudly as well. Other players who recorded assists for Gloucester were Tyler ONeill, who had two and Miguel Laurin, Sean Bakker, Michael DiBello, and Matt Foget, who each chipped in one. The Raiders were helped by Kevin Dimagno, who finished with one goal and one assist. Dimagno scored 1:57 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Gloucester. Timothy Conlin picked up the assist. Nepean also got points from Conlin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Nepean came via Bryce Mayea, who had one. The Rangers took out Doug Johnston after he had made 11 saves and installed Danick Boisvert in goal, where he finished with 13 saves and the win. Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Nepean incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
