Ottawa Canadians beats Clarence Beavers 3-1 after comeback scare

Ottawa Canadians survived a determined comeback attempt by Clarence Beavers on the way to a 3-1 win.

Ottawa Canadians took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Clarence Beavers storm back on a Adam Baxter goal 17:10 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Clarence Beavers was stymied by Ottawa Canadians netminder Dominic Plaschy, who stopped 27 shots during the victory. Plaschy managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.7 prior to the game.

Ottawa Canadians' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Clarence Beavers power plays. Ottawa Canadians' offense rang up 39 shots on Clarence Beavers' net.

Ottawa Canadians was helped by Eric Ferguson, who tallied one goal. Ferguson scored 5:12 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Ottawa Canadians. Mitch Parker picked up the assist.
