Gatineau Mustangs rides Giroux to victory over Ottawa Canadians, 3-1

Jean-Philippe Giroux stood on his head and made 39 saves to lead Gatineau Mustangs to a 3-1 victory over Ottawa Canadians.

Gatineau Mustangs was led by Raphael Grandmaison, who registered one goal. Grandmaison scored 5:57 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Gatineau Mustangs. Jérémie Bonneville provided the assist.

Gatineau Mustangs also had goals scored by Cédric Parker and Jacob Osborne, who each put in one. In addition, Gatineau Mustangs received assists from Gabriel Tourangeau, who had one.

Ottawa Canadians did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Ottawa Canadians averages 3.8 goals per game. Gatineau Mustangs was unable to stop Ottawa Canadians from sending pucks towards the net, and Ottawa Canadians eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.
