Almonte Thunder survived a determined comeback attempt by Shawville Pontiacs on the way to a 3-2 win.

Almonte Thunder made the score 3-1 on a goal by Luke Martin at 4:40 in the third period, and Shawville Pontiacs got as close as 3-2 when Christopher Bones scored 13:42 into the third period.

Shawville Pontiacs' power play was ineffective against Almonte Thunder's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Almonte Thunder kept Shawville Pontiacs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Danick Boisvert made 31 saves on 34 shots.

Almonte Thunder also got points from Jordan Bosely, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cameron Cornwall also scored for Almonte Thunder. More assists for Almonte Thunder came via Terry Mallon, who had one and Andrew Rowbotham, who had two.
