Simon Damphousse had one goal and two assists to lead Gatineau Mustangs to a 5-2 victory over Clarence Beavers.

Damphousse scored on the power play 11:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Gatineau Mustangs. Gatineau Mustangs had gained a power play chance when Jérémie Maisonneuve was whistled for tripping. Raphael Grandmaison picked up the assist. Damphousse dished an assist on Gabriel Tourangeau's goal that made the score 4-2 Gatineau Mustangs at 14:40 into the third period. He added another helper on Tourangeau's goal that made the score 5-2 Gatineau Mustangs at 18:27 into the third period.

Gatineau Mustangs stifled Clarence Beavers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Clarence Beavers was unable to stop Gatineau Mustangs from sending pucks towards the net, and Gatineau Mustangs eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.
