Almonte Thunder falls to Gatineau Mustangs in overtime, 8-7 (OT)

Gatineau Mustangs' Mikael Gervais scored 4:54 into overtime to beat Almonte Thunder, 8-7 (OT).

Gatineau Mustangs overcame a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Gatineau Mustangs trailed 3-0 after a goal by Almonte Thunder's Andrew Rowbotham at 16:52 in the first period. Gatineau Mustangs tied things up at 7-7 on a goal by Vincent Lauzon at 13:09 in the third period.

Gatineau Mustangs forced Almonte Thunder goalie Trevur Salomon to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots. Gatineau Mustangs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Gatineau Mustangs has scored at the pace of 4.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Gatineau Mustangs was led by Vincent Proulx, who finished with three goals and three assists. Gatineau Mustangs also got points from Gervais, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Lauzon, who also registered two goals and two assists, and Dominik Robinson, who also had one goal and four assists. Alexandre Grandmaitre also scored for Gatineau Mustangs. Justin Malette-Trottier rejected 40 shots on goal for Gatineau Mustangs. Gatineau Mustangs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Salomon recorded 44 saves for Almonte Thunder. Almonte Thunder incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
