Clarence Beavers outlasts Arnprior Packers, 5-3

Clarence Beavers and Arnprior Packers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Clarence Beavers made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Jean-François Lupien at 13:52 of the second period.

In the losing effort, Arnprior Packers was paced by Brian Taylor, who registered two goals and one assist. Taylor scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:58 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Clarence Beavers. Arnprior Packers had taken the advantage when Clarence Beavers' Cédéric Crête got sent off for elbowing. Christopher Marchand provided the assist. Taylor's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 12:35 left in the second period. Arnprior Packers had gained a power play chance when Crête was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. John McLean picked up the assist.

Clarence Beavers was led by Lupien, who grabbed one goal.

Clarence Beavers was often in penalty trouble, totaling 12 minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Clarence Beavers surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game.

Clarence Beavers also got points from Crête, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Pier-Olivier Fournier, who also had one goal and one assist, and Nicolas Brazeau, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
