Vincent Lauzon was all over the ice for Gatineau Mustangs, as he tallied two goals in Gatineau Mustangs' 5-2 win over :Prescott.

Gatineau Mustangs pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

Gatineau Mustangs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow :Prescott to score on any of its six power plays. Gatineau Mustangs kept :Prescott's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jarrett Pitt made 31 saves on 36 shots. The defensemen of Gatineau Mustangs were also effective in :Prescott's zone, and came away with two goals.

Gatineau Mustangs also got points from Raphael Grandmaison, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Gatineau Mustangs also got a goal from Simon Damphousse as well. More assists for Gatineau Mustangs came via Samuel Grignon, who had two and Vincent Proulx, Mikael Gervais, Cédric Parker, Jérémie Bonneville, Alexandre Grandmaitre, and Dominik Robinson, who contributed one a piece.

:Prescott was helped by Johnny Smith, who finished with one goal. Smith scored 16:09 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Gatineau Mustangs. Brandon Gilmour picked up the assist. Trevor Keleher also scored for :Prescott. In addition, :Prescott received assists from Tyler Ollson, Chris Poulin, and Tyson Kirkby, who each chipped in one.

Jean-Philippe Giroux recorded 21 saves for Gatineau Mustangs. Gatineau Mustangs registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. :Prescott incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. For :Prescott, Smith was ejected from the game.
