Ottawa Canadians downs :Char-Lan, 6-2

Mitch Parker had one point to lead Ottawa Canadians to a 6-2 victory over :Char-Lan.

Ottawa Canadians stifled :Char-Lan's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ottawa Canadians' offense rang up 48 shots on :Char-Lan's net.

Ottawa Canadians also got points from Nick Izgerean, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Jamie Molinski, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Stephen Fullum, who also tallied two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Ottawa Canadians also got a goal from Scott MciLroy as well. In addition, Ottawa Canadians received assists from Nick Martin, who had two and Eric Ferguson, Josh Hartley, and Ben Hartley, who each chipped in one.

:Char-Lan kept Ottawa Canadians' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Couvrette made 31 saves on 33 shots. Penalties took their toll on :Char-Lan, as its penalty kill unit let in three power play goals.

:Char-Lan was helped by Jeremy McFarlane, who had one goal. McFarlane scored 6:49 into the first period to make the score 2-1 :Char-Lan. Kevin Veilleux provided the assist. Alexandre Gendron also scored for :Char-Lan. More assists for :Char-Lan came via Nick Sanseverino and Scott Hope, who contributed one a piece.

Ottawa Canadians incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Alex Boileau rejected 42 shots on goal for :Char-Lan. :Char-Lan totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play. :Char-Lan ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Veilleux was ejected from the game.
