Ottawa Canadians' Parker deadly on offense in 6-3 win against Gatineau Mustangs

Ottawa Canadians relied on the scoring touch of Mitch Parker, who netted two goals, to beat Gatineau Mustangs, 6-3.

Parker scored on the power play at 11:42 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 12:27 into the third to make the score 5-3 Ottawa Canadians.

Ottawa Canadians' penalty kill excelled, as Ottawa Canadians gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays.

Ottawa Canadians stifled Gatineau Mustangs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Ottawa Canadians also got points from Mitch Robertson, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ottawa Canadians also got a goal from Rob Darnowski as well. More assists for Ottawa Canadians came via Casey Doner, Daniel Laframboise, Mike Dagostini, and Stephen Fullum, who each chipped in one.

Gatineau Mustangs was helped by Maxime Belley, who had one goal. Belley scored 10:09 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Gatineau Mustangs. Simon Damphousse provided the assist. Gatineau Mustangs additionally got points from Mikael Gervais, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Vincent Proulx also scored for Gatineau Mustangs.
