Arnprior Packers survived a determined comeback attempt by Shawville Pontiacs on the way to a 5-3 win. Arnprior Packers took a 5-2 lead during the third period, only to have Shawville Pontiacs storm back on a Gilmour Maurice goal 19:00 into the third period to pull to two goals down. John McLean had two goals to lead Arnprior Packers to victory. McLean found the back of the net 5:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arnprior Packers and again while 5:33 into the first to make the score 2-0 Arnprior Packers. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 13:40 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Arnprior Packers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Arnprior Packers forced Shawville Pontiacs goalie Trevor McGee to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Arnprior Packers also got points from Mitch Crozier, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Arnprior Packers also got a goal from Patrick McGrath as well.
