Almonte Thunder survived a determined comeback attempt by Renfrew Timberwolves on the way to a 5-4 win. Almonte Thunder took a 4-1 lead during the second period, only to have Renfrew Timberwolves storm back on a Issac Anderson goal 7:50 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Andrew Rowbotham had two goals and one assist to lead Almonte Thunder. Rowbotham scored the first of his two goals at 9:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Luke Martin assisted on the tally. Rowbotham's next tally made the score 5-3 Almonte Thunder with 11:03 left in the third period. Almonte Thunder had taken the advantage when Renfrew Timberwolves' Matt Johnston got sent off for holding. Martin picked up the assist. Almonte Thunder kept Renfrew Timberwolves' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Schroeder made 26 saves on 31 shots. Others who scored for Almonte Thunder included Kyle Weedmark, who had one and Jordan Bosely, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Almonte Thunder were Liam Killeen, who had three and Dominic Plaschy, Garret McMullin, and Nick Villeneuve, who each chipped in one. Renfrew Timberwolves forced Almonte Thunder goalie Alex Daley to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Renfrew Timberwolves was helped by Kurtis Leclaire, who tallied one goal.
