Arnprior Packers beats Almonte Thunder 3-0 as Miksik gains shutout

Erik Miksik made 28 saves to complete the shutout and led Arnprior Packers to a 3-0 win against Almonte Thunder.

Arnprior Packers' penalty kill excelled, as Arnprior Packers gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays.

Arnprior Packers was led by Patrick McGrath, who grabbed one goal. McGrath scored 13:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Arnprior Packers. Brian Taylor assisted on the tally.

Arnprior Packers stifled Almonte Thunder's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Arnprior Packers featured an improved defense during the game. Arnprior Packers gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. Arnprior Packers' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Arnprior Packers finished with 28 penalty minutes.
