Ottawa Canadians survives Almonte Thunder comeback, wins 4-3

Ottawa Canadians survived a determined comeback attempt by Almonte Thunder on the way to a 4-3 win.

Ottawa Canadians made the score 4-2 on a goal by Stephen Fullum at 13:42 in the second period, and Almonte Thunder got as close as 4-3 when Eric Langford scored 19:17 into the third period.

In the losing effort, Almonte Thunder was led by Langford, who registered two goals. Langford scored the first of his two goals at 6:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Andrew Rowbotham provided the assist. Langford's next tally made the score Ottawa Canadians with 43 seconds left in the third period. Rowbotham assisted on the tally.

Ottawa Canadians forced Almonte Thunder goalie Alex Daley to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Ottawa Canadians also got a goal from Connor Devereaux as well. More assists for Ottawa Canadians came via Ben Hartley, who had two and Luke Gagnon, Jamie Molinski, Mitch Parker, Jordan Stouros, and Matt Couvrette, who each chipped in one.

Justin Marquis also scored for Almonte Thunder. In addition, Almonte Thunder received assists from Garret McMullin, Luke Martin, and Brandon Mendham, who contributed one a piece.

Couvrette rejected 15 shots on goal for Ottawa Canadians. Ottawa Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Alex Daley made 28 saves for Almonte Thunder on 32 shots. Almonte Thunder incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
