Stittsville Royals survived a determined comeback attempt by Metcalfe Jets on the way to a 2-1 win.

Stittsville Royals made the score 2-0 on a goal by Joey Laird at zero seconds in the second period, and Metcalfe Jets got as close as 2-1 when Chad Robillard scored 19:35 into the third period.

Metcalfe Jets was stymied by Stittsville Royals netminder Jason Shaw, who stopped 48 shots during the victory. Despite the solid performance, Shaw will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.
