Amherstview blows out Deseronto, 9-1Deseronto & District CC Fri, Feb 07, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Deseronto Storm had trouble finding ways to stop the Amherstview Jets, which beat Storm, 9-1. Amherstview was led by goalie Trpy Paquette, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Paquette will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.28. Deseronto was unable to stop the Jets from sending pucks towards the net, and Amherstview eventually piled up 82 shots on goal. The Jets surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Amherstview averages 3.8 goals per contest. The Jets were helped by Josh Leblanc, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Leblanc scored the first of his two goals at 2:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amherstview. Zach Masterson provided the assist.
