Port Hope downs Napanee in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Port Hope Panthers' Brandon Durst scored 1:09 into overtime to beat the Napanee Raiders, 2-1 (OT).

Napanee was stymied by Port Hope netminder Branson Schell, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Schell certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.82 entering the contest.

The Panthers were sparked by Durst, who grabbed one goal.

Port Hope kept the Raiders' goalie busy throughout the game, and Josh Lasher made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Port Hope also got points from Dylan Baxter, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Port Hope received assists from Tanner Bowditch, who had one and Tyler Davey, who had two.

Napanee could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Raiders average 3.9 goals per game.

Napanee was led by Ryan Casselman, who scored the team's only goal. Casselman scored 14:56 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Napanee. Will Peirson provided the assist.

The Panthers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Raiders incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
