Huge game by Crowley boosts Campbellford over Deseronto, 7-2

Ryan Crowley had two goals and two assists to lead the Campbellford Rebels to a 7-2 victory over the Deseronto Storm.

Crowley scored at 15:32 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Campbellford and again while 5:36 into the third to make the score 5-2 Campbellford.

Campbellford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Deseronto power plays. The Rebels' offense rang up 60 shots on Deseronto's net. Campbellford found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Rebels average 4.2 goals per game.

Campbellford also got points from Andy Paul, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Campbellford also had goals scored by Jon Samis, who had two and Nick Ferguson and TJ Paterson (APM), who each put in one. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Jordan Boutilier, who had one and William Lameroux, who had two.

The Storm forced Campbellford goalie Kevin Valdas to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Deseronto was helped by Johnny Maracle, who grabbed one goal. Maracle scored short handed 18:39 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Campbellford. The Storm played down a man on Mitchell Thompson's tripping. Brandon Turner also scored for Deseronto. Other players who recorded assists for Deseronto were Jesse Burtch, who had one.

The Rebels' Valdas stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Campbellford incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brock Tufts rejected 53 shots on goal for Deseronto. The Storm incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
