Huge game by Bunnett boosts Picton over Deseronto, 10-0

Brian Bunnett was all over the ice for the Picton Pirates, as he tallied two goals and five assists in Picton's 10-0 win over the Deseronto Storm.

Bunnett scored at 9:34 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Picton and again while 9:18 into the third to make the score 9-0 Picton.

Andrew Pearson frustrated Deseronto's offense all game, and stopped 26 shots en route to a shutout. The solid play of Pearson will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.7.

The Storm were unable to stop the Pirates from sending pucks towards the net, and Picton eventually piled up 79 shots on goal. The Pirates bested their season scoring average. This season, Picton averages 5.9 goals per contest.

Picton also got points from Jack Davison, who also grabbed two goals and two assists, Taylor Brown, who also had one goal and two assists, and Chris Jones, who also registered two goals and one assist. Picton also had goals scored by Steven Clarke, geoff cleminson, and Clint Aussprung, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Picton were Ryan Sizer, who had two and Nolan Powers, Brandon Peever, Devin McCann, Kenny Murduff, Cody Harrison, and Corey Prince, who each chipped in one.

The Pirates incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brock Tufts recorded 69 saves for Deseronto. The Storm incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
