Campbellford survives Napanee comeback, wins 5-3

The Napanee Raiders almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Campbellford Rebels managed to pull out a 5-3 win in the end.

Campbellford led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Rebels' jeremy dorghty's scored on the power play at 3:12 in the third period to put Campbellford up 4-1.

Dorghty was all over the ice for the Rebels, as he registered two goals in the win.

Campbellford's offense rang up 34 shots on Napanee's net. The Rebels struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 20 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays.

Campbellford also had goals scored by William Lameroux, Andy Paul, and TJ Paterson (APM), who each put in one. In addition, Campbellford received assists from Cole Hamilton, Ryan Crowley, Derek Shields, Nick Ferguson, Andrew Doxtator, Jordan Boutilier, and Griffin Rupnow, who contributed one a piece.

The Raiders kept Campbellford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cole Mahoney made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Napanee was helped by Jake Falcao, who had one goal. Falcao scored on the power play 14:15 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Campbellford. The Raiders earned a power play opportunity when Shields was put in the box for checking from behind. Mason Conley picked up the assist. Napanee also got points from Mitch Pearce, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Napanee also got a goal from Kyle Murphy as well. More assists for Napanee came via Josh St.Peter, Blade Grigg, Ryan Casselman, and Tyler Romain, who each chipped in one.

The Rebels registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Campbellford, Shields was ejected from the game. Napanee's Kyle Copeland stopped 29 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Raiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
