Napanee downs Amherstview in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Tyler Romain gave the Napanee Raiders a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Amherstview Jets when he scored 2:00 into the extra period.

Team could not crack Amherstview's penalty kill and was held to two power play goals while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage.

In addition, Napanee received assists from Chris Doyle, Blade Grigg, Mitch Pearce, and Austin Boulard, who contributed one a piece.

Napanee was unable to stop the Jets from sending pucks towards the net, and Amherstview eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. The Jets were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 20 penalty minutes.

Amherstview was led by Brett Yake, who had two goals. Yake scored the first of his two goals at 3:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Jesse Stone provided the assist. Yake's next tally made the score 2-1 Amherstview with 8:10 left in the second period. The Jets earned a power play opportunity when Josh St.Peter was put in the box for roughing after whistle. Andrew Fullerton picked up the assist. More assists for Amherstview came via Cassidy Bruni, who had one.

Kyle Copeland made 39 saves for the Raiders on 41 shots. Napanee incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Trpy Paquette rejected 23 shots on goal for Amherstview. The Jets registered one goal on five power play opportunities.
